Accident
All injuries and their management that happen in Little Helper Nursery premises should be noted and recorded on the incident form. A copy of the report must be added to child’s medical file and signed by the Director.
This policy applies to accidents that happen with all staff members. Parents should be informed by a phone call and a copy of the filled accident form must send with the child to home.
Sickness
If a child arrives to the Nursery ill or become ill after arriving, the parent/s will be asked to pick them for the safety of their child and others.
If a child has an type of rash, he /she should not attend the Nursery
Classroom Rules
- Our class room should be clean all the time
- Please check before departure and arrival that the classroom is well organized
- Toys are the property of our classroom, always check for missing item
- All art supplies should be returned to their place
- Eating tables should be fixed in the morning before breakfast and snack time.
- Children should be trained to wash and eat alone
- After eating children will sit and wait to wash their hands and drink water
- During snack time all children should wear aprons, and no one should be allowed to run
- Clean the tables before sending all the kids to sleep
- Teachers should be informed all the time about missing items and any accident that happens
- All children’s items should be labeled
- Each teacher is responsible for her group to write in the communications book about eating and toileting
- Ensure the basic needs of the children (toileting, resting, and hygiene) are met in an efficient, ethical and respectful manner.

- Outdoor Supervision – maintain vigilance at all times when supervising the children to ensure safety. Remind children to take regular water breaks while
- Playing outdoors; especially during the hot months.
- Maintain cleanliness of classroom toys and resources, making sure to clean and sanitize toys regularly.
